Sandbanks is overcrowded and expensive.

However you can get ferry over to Studland.

It's the 4th most expensive place to live in the world. You're better off over the bay at Studland

It does. The ex and I spent a few hours at the naturist beach (see avatar). It's a lovely place and I would like to go back and explore the area a bit more.

Sandbanks during the day is busy and even at night you probably wont find too much kink encounters going on. However as has been mentioned, chain ferry across the harbour entrance and you are in Studland (naturist beach part of it), plenty of sand dunes, there is stuff going on there however apparently NT and police do patrol peeps have said.

Theres a few places people meet up in bournemouth (clifftop walks etc).

Studland is still lovely but it's about the wildlife and the beach rather than nightlife.

I come from that area of the South. Sandbanks is a lovely area but a nightmare for parking and getting to. Bournemouth is a better option more for kids to do, plus a better chance of finding space on the beach. Studland is actually a very nice area to visit, the naturist part is only a small part of the beach, if you follow the road down further there is Swanage which is gorgeous (ok I'm biased as was born there!)
