I've worn one way before my swinging days and my daughters worn one for a good 5 yrs and she isnt a swinger...its just another fashion trend

It always means that they want you to whop it out in public in front of them. It is a defence in English Law if the offended lady was wearing one.

Young teenage girls wear them so men need to be careful when seeing anklets and thinking swinging. I used to wear one but there's no way anyone would of thought I was / am a swinger if they didn't know me .
