Any ideas on how to rekindle my passion for cycling, I used to race in my late teens and early 20's, I went out everyday for 2 hours or go on rollers if the weather was bad. I have got a bike on the road that I built years ago, to try and kick start it off, still struggling.

Any ideas.

Set yourself a simple target or goal ... go for a day ride to the beach or something.

Nothing too much, an hour each way perhaps ?

In the middle

I have the same problem, I was a very keen cyclist but last year I seemed to have lost my mojo and this year I'm still struggling

As an ex professional sportsman its an old problem, you don't want to do but you have to practice.

A tip from Gary Player is not to beat yourself up about it, but say to yourself give it half an hour then if you still feel the same come in, you'll be surprised how many times you do come in, actually rarely. Adrenalin once it kicks in there is no better motivator.

Thanks for the advice, I used to have a set ride. My motivation was to beat my time,or climb a hill in a higher gear than last time, but it was with a group.

Been given some good advice thanks

Look at clips on utube, that's how I get motivation to see the big guys workout

I started cycling again through necessity - couldn't get to work otherwise - and just carried on. As a result I have lost 2 stone, dropped 3 inches off my waist and feel great!

There are lots of cycling smartphone apps so you can set goals etc.

Good luck and enjoy!
