Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

It was yesterday here. Horrible!

Walking back from the tube the pavement was crawling with the crawly ants and the air was thick with the flying ants. I ended up bringing some into the house as they were in my hair and down my cleavage.

How the hell do they all know exactly when to fly? They come out all over the country at the same time, amazing.

I always wonder where they were hiding the wings the rest of the year.

Perhaps they were visiting London?

I never thought I'd say this, but I'm glad I was in Taunton yesterday and I only had to deal with the walk back from the tube in the evening.

Are they hiding in their beds with the duvet pulled up over their heads ?

"i lived in a 4th storey flat in london and we got them in there. never had a problem anywhere else."

I'm near a small park. On flying ant day the pavement is covered... and then they fly and come into my bedroom window.

I have things up to try and keep them out but they're sneaky.

haha, yeah ants are. just the normal ones eat through concrete to get into houses. we had holes in our living room floor from them coming in when we lived in wigan, just poured ant killer down the holes though and that sorted them luckily.

Fascinating little creatures to watch and utterly harmless
