It's Thursday night, the bars around me are humming with activity and I'm so bored, I'm past the idea of going out.

Is boredom a terminal complaint?

I have heard you can die of it. I always find something to do ... watching TV, browsing the forums, doing some prep for work and contemplating a shower .... whilst waiting for Mr to come home

I'm surrounded by at least 4 bars and Sunday night is the only guaranteed quiet night.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I think places are busier this week as it's the end of term tomorrow so lots of people will disappear off on holiday.

Kestrels, and clubs generally, also get quieter during the holidays.

Topsy, look up Akinator on the interweb and do that for 3 minutes. Then do the stupidly addictive 2048 - I blame SOTB Lucy for me losing two hours on the train to this game.

Yes it is, before I retired from my job last year I very nearly died of it.

"

Me: I'm bored, I have nothing to do, although I should put the hoover round

My head: Have a drink and surf youtube.

Me: Okay.

[later]

Me: I still haven't hoovered and I'm still bored, but now I don't care.

My head: Problem solved

Probably a good idea but not the actual day, all the single men are at home with their families.
