advice wanted pls

2 or 3 days ago there was a local to us ish single guy.......he was in the meet today section of this great site

so we made contact

arranged a meet for that very day------ you guessed it ...he was a no show

as normal he has been back on line on this great site but made no effort to contact us

now sinse that day of his no show he has been back in meet today section

and is so as i type this out

i do understand about what and how the block button works

we have reported his profile as well

under this great site rules we can not name and shame him without getting a sever warning or a ban our selfs

we need advice on how we can let other site users know he is basicly a no show guy

infortunatly ya cant, theres lots of guys like him on here. sadly we have gotta find out for ourselves.

dont let him bother u, cuz there are plenty of genuine single guys on here who are worth more than 10 of him.

ok he was very rude not to let you know that is bad ... maybe he changed his mind and didnt know how to tell you ..some people cant .!!..it does happen on here a lot ..i recon you should just block and move on to the genuine guys who do show ..

Dont give it space in your life trying to hit back .tell him what you think ...tell him you will point his name out to all the other people you know then move on

We really could do with some method of giving negative reports about people like him.

The thing that lets most single guys down is the bad reputation we get from there idiots.

I have in the past had to pull out of meetings and feel really bad when i do, but i do let the people involved know as soon as possible so that i don't waste their time.

I realise that any facility for reporting negative experiences could be abused, but there must be some way of doing it.

sound advice pd it's not worth wasting a second thought on him Harry and Wendy, like us all you learn from experience, although a quick text would have been in order.

Had to cancel meeting with a lovely couple myself today but a text and an explanatory mail on here were fired off first thing to them and all is still good, and only a postponement not a cancel! xx

Any form of negative feedback will always be abused

2 sides to every story and we only get one side of it

Unfortunately there are plenty on here that let people down for whatever reason so I understand how frustrated you must feel about it

He does'nt sound like he would have been worth meeting anyway if he does'nt even have the decency to say he was'nt going to turn up

Hi Harry m8,

You've been around the scene just as long as I have pal and as much as I sympathise with your need to get even with this guy it really isn't worth the effort. He'll probably let someone else down again and again and before you know it he'll have run out of people local to him willing to meet him and that will be the end of him on this site.

Chalk it down to experience and move on m8.

Oh, I can see your peed off etc, but your changed profile (angry one) is not going to help you much, to get any more meets.

As people have said, part of the risks in meeting people...

Don't have any tips etc other avoid the ones that say meet now, lol.

This is one of the reasons we stopped meeting single guys.

Although one we were set to meet went a step further and disappeared from the site altogether,lol.

He must have been scared to death,lol.

We're not saying couples are perfect but they seem a lot more reliable than singles.

Just move on and put it down to experience or change your game plan.

Don't let it eat at you.

This would be a very bad road to go down and needs to avoided at all costs.

Sending PM's to all your "friends" letting them know when things like this happen is also a very very dodgy thing to do as you run the risk of sounding whiny and needy which may make friends think twice with regards future meets.

Some top advice from others posting so far is to simply move on and don't give anyone the satisfaction of seeing you react in this manner.

And there are one or two currently posting in the forums who, based on their reactions to any criticism would probably abuse it in the same way.

On this subject we believe that the old adage of if you have nothing nice to say then say nothing speaks volumes

Not aimed at you mate just a general point of view from this end.

Like you we believe that some form of negative feedback system would be a fantastic tool but when you see how some act and react in these forums then god knows what would go on if they did not get EXACTLY what THEY wanted with every meet

Just don't tar all single blokes with the same brush - some of us are reliable and do turn up for meets. There are a lot of wannabes (both couples and singles) on these sites and you just need to put the odd no show down to experience.

not to mention all the others..this does include SINGLE MALES TO

you would not believe how many time wasting single males in our area tho

you are totally missing the point.

i didnt say you didnt turn up. if we have a negative feedback report function, and one member reports that the other didnt turn up, then the other one could say that they didnt turn up.

it cant be proven, thus is pointless.

if things happen in my life, i find the best way, is to 'deal with it and move on'..

some people like carrying extra stress and worry around with them. if they are happy with that then fine. they dont have to take on board every little thing they see on some random free internet site..
