They knew Audley was no match for Hayes before the fight... but they also knew this fight would generate a lot of money.. Footballers have testimonial matches when they retire...

Audley manage to get a big pay day before he does!

Defo shouldn't be paid...in fact for everyone that did pay for the fight, he should be paying them all back outta his own pocket...a disgrace, that's what he was.

Yeah, football players do get testimonials, but the paying public know what their paying for...can you honestly say that the public got value for money for that farcical fight...it was nothing short of deceiving the public, he should be strung up.

Totally agree!

This was a cynical, sad vehicle for Harrison to get nice retirement nest egg. Shameful.

from the time of the press conference right until he walked into the ring he didn't look "right"... we can't withold the money because he didn't intentionally take a dive....

but whenever he'd been in high level competition he had been out of his depth... and this was no different

Can people stop calling it a fight?

That suggests two men trying to beat each other up...something that definitely wasn't happening on Saturday.

The first rule of Fight Club is, you do not talk about Fight Club.

The second rule of Fight Club is don't let Audley Harrison in, unless it's ladies night.

Typical of todays Boxing! never even thought about paying to watch this "Figt" didnt even think about watching it..... Its all "Hollywood" nowadays, all the pre fight hype and contrived rivalry.....

Oh and now a couple of days after the event they have burried the Hatchet

I feel sorry for the people who paid to see the Fight but I cant say I was surprised by the let down!

get used to the money making fights. i have been for years now.

thanks to the internet i have not paid to watch any sporting event for years but its still annoying knowing that the promoters put cash before entertainment.

amir khan is yet another fighter who will continue to make millions even tho he fights nobodys. and when half decent he gets knocked out!

for those who would like to know how to watch all sports free online pm.(including all live football)

would post here but guess its against site rules to mention other websites.

Of course not.. it was a farce from the beginning and that is why I chose not to watch it.. .no way was I going to pay and help him out.. unfortunately many did.

We can actually go further back.. we all know Hayes should have been fighting one of the Klitschko brothers..

Back in the days of true Heavyweight Champions they would not have ducked and dive but stand up to the true contenders.

If there wasn't a clause in his contract that stated that he 'had to put up a decent show' then they can't implement one after the event.

Where does it end? Should every losing football team repay it's supporters their gate money because they didn't play well enough?

I'd hazard a guess that harrison knew that if he tried to fight he'd get fookin hurt and this was a last chance payday for some serious cash and I think he pretty much knows he's not going to get offered another fight at this level again.

Good luck to the guy, he got his £mill and is undamaged. It's the mugs who paid £15 to watch it on Sky that paid him.

Everyone who paid Sky £15 to watch (not us I hasten to add) should be given a free view next time there's a PPV fight,as good will.

The state of heavyweight boxing at the moment, if I was Tyson, I'd dust off my gloves, get 6 months training done and regain my crown! R

Why would Sky do such a thing? It makes no sense. The next big fight will feature fighters looking for a big pay day too. Who pays them, if not the Sky subscribers? And would they want their fight to be billed as 'the apology fight'?

Sky will get millions of people paying £15 to watch the next fight and Harrison's £mill will seem like a drop in the ocean in comparison and it'll probably be forgotten this time next week.

At least there was one decent fight over the weekend.

The fight between Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito was great to watch AND it wasn't on Sky box office.

that wasn't really a great fight either... it was a great fighter putting on a clinic and using the other guy for a punch bag!!

anyway i bet any Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight would be PPV.... I'd would pay to see that (well... watch on an internet feed...)
