did we have a thread on pole dancing before - if so ... apologies.

If not... can anybody tell me whether the muscular pain / bruises on inner thighs get easier/ less after a few weeks? Serious question

Yes they do, your skin will get used to it. Also, as your upper body strength improves you will take less of your own weight with your legs on certain moves.

it will take a lot of practice and patience .

you lie on your back and raise your legs over your head and spread them so your feet touch the floor either side of your head .

it stretches your vertebrae and relieves back pressure.

when your feet can touch the floor in this way you will feel electric.

If you get there you will understand and i hope you do.

I know the one, thank you - also known as the plough I think? And yes you are right it does loosen the back enormously. Thanks, I will try that before the next pole class.

yup I never get bruises anymore when I dance on the pole although I have never used my inner thighs much, for obvious reasons I tend to leave the straddling to the girls and go more for the upside down moves
