If you phone up the place you have an interview at to confirm it as they failed to send the email confirmation. They have no idea if there's any interviews going ahead so having to phone up the managers as they're not at work yet.

They say they'll get back to me, do I give them the hour and if I haven't heard anything, ring back or just leave it? It's after 4, I don't know whether to get ready for it or not.

Get ready just in case. Phone again, ask to speak to the person who booked the interview directly.

Apparently she's not in yet until later. One member of staff was going to phone the manager and then get back to me. It's almost been an hour now..

"I wouldnt go unless i had a call "

The woman I spoke to phoned me saturday saying I got an interview at such and such time and day and remember to bring my I.D or the interview won't be going forward etc. So why would they say that and no-one has any recollection of said interview?

rhe interview is today? When this person is due to be there?

Get ready and just turn up for the interview shows them you want the job. She'll pretty much have to interview you as they're the ones making the mistakes.

Good luck. Please post and let us know how it goes xx

Go for it Sherbet - show some initiative. Hopefully isnt too far or expensive to get too

Be there, show willing - it can do you no harm at all.

I agree. Worst that could happen is they reschedule. If you don't show up, you may not be offered a second chance.

It was difficult for me to get childcare for today, my fella had to leave work early because of it. Oh Fuck it. I'm going to get ready, and go there. One thing I'd be worried about they'll just be like "sorry they're not in today" or "sorry we cannot interview because of such and such" :-\ mind fuck springs to mind

Try to put that out of your mind.

Ask for the person who booked it. She may just not have told the person you spoke to. Perhaps because they're replacing them with you!

No. You called. I imagine they're all feeling a bit dumb.

I went for an interview a while back. I could see they'd read a book on what to ask in interviews so I just interviewed them instead.

The people who do recruiting are often as nervous as you. They often aren't used to interviewing.

Just get there and tell them you didn't want to miss the chance of an interview with their firm just through a potential email error.

How much do you want the job?

If it's something you really want to do, then turn up at said time, what's the worst that can happen?

Although you say it's not local, if they don't interview you today then it's a cost you have got to swallow and hope you get another chance with them.

Good luck in whatever the outcome

not read the thread (too long) but never leave something important for someone else to promise to do..... won't happen, chase it up yourself, esp something as important as a job interview, if you no show for that, you wont get a second stab, if it was someone else that didnt sort it for you, it is still going to be your fault. I've learn't the hard way.

It's not pestering IMO, it might be an inconvenience but if I found out someone was chasing me up to be interviewed, it would show they were keen about the job. It worked for me recently.
