Am I too cynical, or does anyone else think that the SNP have fallen for the Tory plan?

Having problems with EVEL? Find another argument where the law is different in Scotland and hope Sturgeon will break with tradition and choose to 'send a message to Westminster'.

What other laws relating only to England and Wales can we expect?

Additional taxes on Irn-bru?

Better animal welfare for haggis?

A ban on tablet on the nhs?

(For the sassenachs amongst you, tablet is a type of grainy fudge)

Mr ddc

Damned if they do damned if they don't really. This is more about EVEL than fox hunting.

They do now need to do something with the Scottish side of hunting though. I was unaware it was like it is - and I'm a party supporter.

There's a lot of premature celebrations online, which seems daft. Tory boys will have their whips out even though this is a 'free vote' to make sure it goes through.

Lorne sausage is quite possibly the best thing ever to come out of Scotland. A sausage, designed specifically, for making butties with. It's up there with TV, whisky and having the 2nd if Jan as a bank holiday.

Saw the thread title.

Thought it was a 'tell Obi to get a job thread and stop lounging around on the beach with the woof all the time' post.

My bad.

Sorry.

Speaking of Nats getting fucked by Tories

"AN SNP MP is set to marry her Tory councillor partner.

Yes campaigner Natalie McGarry MP and partner David Meikle went head to head during the referendum debate by battling for opposing sides.

But now the SNP activist and her Better Together boyfriend are getting hitched."

That'll be the clincher for me: whether or not it is more important to them to win a vote, or to be seen to be beaten because the SNP chose to vote.

Good lord, we were never given enough pocket money to afford the boxes with the hammer (I had to buy one on ebay, years later )

I meant the little McCowans chews about the size of a Freddo frog.

That doesn't even make sense in the context. You've got SNP bad Tourette's min. It's embarrassing.

Absolutely.

I noticed when we decided we had a problem with the badger population they didn't advocate bringing back bateing....oooo the years of tradition with flat caps admiring each other's shovel skills and dog breeds.... Surely that should be revived as well a long with the old cock fighting obviously

I think you're both wrong, I think this is all about baiting.

Best scenario for Cameron:

enough Tories vote against to show their caring, in-touch side, while he shows the Countryside Alliance that he did his best, while the evil SNP prove EVEL is a necessity, all on a subject where the actual outcome isn't serious if it goes the wrong way.

Except for Basil Brush, obvs

Meanwhile, I see Lovehoney do a buttplug with a foxes brush, just in case...

Aha so I'm half right as it proves that Cameron and sturgeon have rekindled cock fighting (I knew she had balls all along the cock came as a surprise I'll admit).

Although to be fair the tories had this as a manifesto pledge long before any snp were even elected!!

And I might yet be fully wrong

I just can't see why else they would think it important, or a vote-winner, to take such a retrograde step.

Besides, I thought they'd moved on from foxes, to poor people who dare to have more than 2 children?

I also note there's talk of taxing deep-fried mars bars ffs

No we were both right!.

They've cynically used a free vote to push through a mantra of high up Tory dogma(not mainstream Tory beliefs)while also creating the perfect situation to crush the Scottish voting rights!

"Bill been withdrawn. "

Well spotted!

Surely just the headlines can't be enough for the Tories?

It certainly risks them looking stupid, a majority of English voters would welcome Sturgeon's intervention if it meant the bill failing

Bring back Mandleson, at least with him around you could be sure of a proper Machiavellian plot, not this cack-handed nonsense.
