Following on from the snoring thread who among us sleep walks. Its somthing a lot of my family do and have got up to some very strange but equally very funny antics. I ask because its something I seam to started doing myself but mines not been very funny more quite dangerous if im honest in the fact I've taken quite a lot of proscribed medications in my sleep so I no longer keep anything like that in my bedroom. Quite worrying I'm sure you'll agree

If you are doing things like that I'd advise a trip to your GP. They will send you for sleep studies.

My husband sleep walks, talks anything else you can imagine. He used to put our daughter in our bed in the middle of the night, her cot was my side of the bed. He has tried getting his leg over in the middle of the night. We downloaded sleep bot and one night he had came round my side of the bed and was telling me its ok ill pick you up.

He's now on meds and still talks and shouts and if he doesn't take them chases our kids round our bed, when they are asleep in their own beds.

Living with a sleep walker isn't fun

Its very rare that that's happened and as I've said I've made sure I can no longer get my hands on anything but my sleep patterns are shocking and I've never slept well anyway hence im on here all hours but this is relatively new last 2 years posibly. It's only because of missing tablets I even no about it but when I think about it hard I've always a very very vague memery so know its me thats took them. Very odd very odd indead

Central

I've talked and walked in sleep since a kid. I've been found outside, though was years ago. I'm single, so only neighbours to affect. I do talk nonsense, though do when awake too.

Hereabouts

My uncle jumped out of a window in his sleep. My sister walks to the bathroom in her sleep. I have full blown conversations in my sleep. My dad tried to ground me once for being on the phone at 3am when I was actually only asleep and there was no one on the other end of the phone. My argument was "I hear you close the car door and open the front door, do you really think I would openly be on the phone at 3am?!"

I do occasionally. Stayed over with a friend once and he woke up to find me standing over him looking at him, Paranormal Activity style. Otherwise have just had family or old housemates find me wandering round the kitchen (I'm even greedy in my sleep ), nothing too dramatic.

My brother once came down the stairs, and pissed in the shoe cupboard, then went back up. We all had to go to school in our plimsolls, as they were in our kit bags not the cupboard.

I've eaten a whole cheesecake in my sleep. It's a dreadful affliction.

Whilst in my first compliment job as a very baby naval officer, I slept walked butt naked into a very senior officer's cabin! From then on in, regardless of the weather I slept in the least attractive jimjams the world could find and put all my shoes (heel up) infront of the door as a sort of gauntlet run! Have also wandered out of hotel rooms in my sleep and had to go down to reception nude to get someone to let me back in! My sleep walking is apparently not dangerous, just deeply humiliating!

i sleep walk often very successfully to the loo through the night but had a few mishaps along the way ...on one occasion i climbed into the wardrobe and squated down to have a pee ...my fella woke up and tried to stop me but it was too late ...another time whilst staying with his parents i took a wrong turn to the bathroom and fell down the whole flight of stairs ...my boyfriends dad heard the commotion and got up to see what was going on ..he found me still asleep at the bottom of the stairs but sadly i was naked ...i had no recollection of anything the next morning ...i wish they hadnt told me
