I'm guessing there must be a whole host of guidelines as to what should happen to the money and what the judge can do with it. If his directive says he awards it to the police and the police's directives say they must use it to benefit the local community from which it was recovered then that's a fair policy I think. | |||

I think that's a fair point. The money has come out of the community so putting it back into local amenities and possibly helping with rehab might be a good way of using it. | |||
