With a partner, yes, with a meet, no. Don't BB with my Fwb, as condoms are not a barrier to every sti, and we both meet others. I also get tested every 3-4 months as don't use condoms/dental dams for oral. Risks are far lower for oral, but are still risks so like to get checked out aswell.

But, my real issue comes from your insinuation that people who use condoms have "slipped up" at least once. That what I am saying on the forum is not true, but that the truth will be "somewhere in between" what is actually posted. I don't question the veracity of people who play BB when they say they get tested regularly and are clean. I don't question the veracity of people who play BB when they say they are very careful about who they play with. I would appreciate it if people don't question my veracity, and the veracity of others who have posted, when we say we always use condoms for penetrative sex.

And I agree that your choice of sexual partners is very important. But it is also true that condoms, though not 100% effective, still mitigate someone's chances. I'm not saying everyone has to use them, but it isn't a pointless exercise.

That is not fair. It is not the "mentality of safe sex in the swinging world" that condoms make everything safe. Just as it isn't fair to say that people who play BB are riddled with STIs. This conversation can be had without over-generalizations on both sides.

People who use condoms do so to mitigate their chances of catching and spreading STIs. Based on this thread, it seems that people who play BB have their own methods of mitigating those chances (getting tested right before a meet, only playing with people you know well, etc....).

As others have said, people are going to play the way they are comfortable playing.

Given the number of sexual partners people who swing will have, most seem to think because condoms are used that they're immune to STI's which is simply not true. Good judgement on sexual partners is as important as the actual act of wrapping in our opinion.

Everyone will take the level of 'risk' they feel comfortable with, we would never use condoms for oral as we deem the risks low enough to enjoy without, though respect your opinion for using them as you seem the risk involved high enough to warrant them.

Everyone is different and like I've said earlier, the truth between what actually happened will fall somewhere between what is actually posted.

Condoms are not a 100% safe barrier in sex, the only true safe sex is monogamy between two or more partners that are tested clean, the act of non monogamy opens you up the all sorts of risks condoms or not.

Two or more people can be monogamous, poly couples would agree with that, monogamy isn't exclusive to couples.

I think you've taken my comments personally when in fact my comment was aimed at a particular reply and replies of a similar nature on these threads when they crop up.

I'll duck out as I don't frequent these forums for arguments and as stated I couldn't care less what people do behind closed doors as it's their business.

It's irrelevant whether people bareback or not. The issue is whether or not, and how often, they get tested.

And even then it's not "oooh I have a negative test today so I'm safe yayyy".

Given the number of people who admit they cheat on here, an awful lot of non-swingers are far more exposed to the risk of STIs than they realise. They probably think they have safe(r) sex.
