When I was a kid I can't remember Mum being bed ridden with illness, but Dad used to on occasion, but he used to get sick pay from his company, so we didn't lose any money.I'm now raising my kids mostly by myself, and since doing so I haven't been bed ridden, I get colds etc, but carry on, and eventually they go away. So I feel that house parents develop a state of mind that prevents them from being too poorly, simply because if they do everything falls apart. So, I propose we rename " Man flu", and call it " lesser responsibility flu", what do you think people? |
, I'll look into that, I just wondered if being the one who holds things together had something to do with it.
