I have started a few over the 9 yrs that I've been on here, but most are just inane drivel. Do you have an actual purpose, or is it just a bit of banter?

Mine tend to be related to snacks. Cheese or crisps normally.

I changed a work email thread yesterday into a crisps email. Colleagues were confused. I was hungry.

My main thing is to make me or other poster have a damn good giggle be it at me or themselves. Although I can and do do the serious stuff to. This is supposed to be fun and thats what i want from the forum nothing more and definitely nothing less

Loads of different reasons, but usually because I want to sound out how other people feel about something that I'm interested in.

That's cool, I like taking the piss also with certain people, but my point is lost on people who don't know how to start a thread.

I've started threads around things I hope people will find amusing.

Sometimes they are, sometimes they sink like a lead coffin.

But I've also started a few serious ones, things that have a relevance to me, subjects that I hope will make people think a bit.

I join in with the ones that look like fun, where there's plenty of micky taking going on.

I try to avoid the ones likely to make me frown......

I'm mostly to be found in the lounge talking nonsense.

This. But I pretty much don't bother anymore. The forum has been taken over by a sycophantic sheep majority that seem to think it's funny to take the piss out of people. Or just post crap to derail threads.
