How far will you go for a meet?

After recently been asked to meet the male half of a couple alone before meeting the wife. I must ask is this common in the UK?

I politely declined the offer , because I feel that I don't have to go out on a man date to have sex. Also they were verified.

Not very. I swap mobiles but only to text if there's going to be delays etc. I don't go on cam, or phone, or try and fulfil a menu of musts before I meet someone. if they want a shag, and I want to shag them, then that should be it really.

I have booked hotels but by my own choice if I was told I had to I'd tell them to naff off, if I offer through my own choice that's different

How far distance wise..Coventry-Portsmouth so 150odd miles without checking!

How far as in would I do anything I'm not comfortable with...nope. I'd not meet anyone I wasn't 100% sure about.
