Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

No.

I realise other jobs have to work nights and weekends but I feel those should be reserved for essential posts (care, crime etc.).

Shopping is already the biggest leisure activity in this country and that's pretty sad.

Bedworth

No. We already have supermarkets open 24 hours a day the rest of the time, surely people have enough time to shop without extending Sunday hours too!

I think internet shopping has already taken this crown.

To be honest i have always been a supporter of the lords day observance society / keep sunday special. Not for religious reasons but just to have one day a week where family comes first.

I remember when you could buy a soft porn mag on a sunday but not the bible.

Historically, blame idi amin. He started it

Will Sundays now last for 25 hours?

I personally would like them closed altogether on a Sunday.

"I think internet shopping has already taken this crown."

So why do we need the shops to open as well? I have no doubt that they will still be busy and people will buy more STUFF but it would be nice to have a moment when people are made to wait just twelve hours once a week before they can get what they desire.

Kent

The place i work used to open one Sunday a year when the carnival thingy was on. Then they decided to open for 12 Sunday's through the summer months to get the bbq trade (it's a butchers/deli type place) that lasted the first year then they've opened every Sunday apart from the one after xmas and Easter Sunday ever since.

I think with being able to shop online for pretty much everything now there no need for most shops to be open aside from maybe newsagents and the odd chemists.
