Rushden

There are many patriotic songs that can move millions, but one that makes me wish I was part of a group is "I am Australian" by The Seekers. U-tube it and listen to the words. Maybe in reality it is just a song and perhaps their society is not like that, but I wish it was my song Judith Durham has one of the best voices of any female singer and when she starts to sing after the first verse... WOW!

"Somewhere over the rainbow"

By eva cassidy.

We played at the funerals of my mom and dad and sisters recently.

Its sung brilliantly by a lady who also had a very short life.

Torquay

Dance with my Father again by Luther Vandross.....particularly on this day as my dad was gravely injured on foreign shores serving his country, when I was a small girl.

He never did recover from his injuries and died back here in the UK.

Because of the unit he served with I never really saw or knew him that well.

Gets me every time I hear it played.

hoobastank the reason

I'm not a perfect person

There's many things I wish I didn't do

But I continue learning

I never meant to do those things to you

And so I have to say before I go

That I just want you to know

I've found a reason for me

To change who I used to be

A reason to start over new

and the reason is you

I'm sorry that I hurt you

It's something I must live with every day

And all the pain I put you through

I wish that I could take it all away

And be the one who catches all your tears

That's why I need you to hear

I've found a reason for me

To change who I used to be

A reason to start over new

and the reason is you [x4]

I'm not a perfect person

I never meant to do those things to you

And so I have to say before I go

That I just want you to know

I've found a reason for me

To change who I used to be

A reason to start over new

and the reason is you

I've found a reason to show

A side of me you didn't know

A reason for all that I do

And the reason is you
