I don't, always.

Its as unnatural to feel happy all the time as it is to feel sad all the time..

Feel it, own it, have a cry if you like. Your feelings are always valid.

Then suck it up and move on xx

If I ever have any strong mood I'll generally always appreciate it for what it is - great moods / times are good obviously, and if anything ever got me down I'd own it, look at it in perspective and deal with it - ignoring low moods doesn't work. It's healthy to have a variety of moods, not too frequent or long term I mean.

If it's just Monday blues or something, well that's just typical human behaviour largely.

I try to just smile and think of good things when I'm feeling crappy. When that fails, I have Marc and my two dogs to make me happy. And that always works

This for me.

I give myself a set amount of time to wallow, be that an hour, a day or a week. Then I shake myself off, put on a fake smile and pretend to be fine. And sooner or later I am fine.

I've not figured it out yet. When i feel shit and low it's normally someone else that drags me out, not something I'm able to do myself.

That's one of the reasons why fab works for me. There's people here who are able to help with that whether they realise it or not.

I go to work. Sad as it sounds. Either realising that there are some sick fuckers in the world and my life isn't that bad, or helping someone with their problems, put mine into perspective.

Alternatively, I bash the shit out of a punch bag or go for a run along the seafront.

Usually I find them by opening my curtains (ie, you dont have to look far)

I like to walk up a hill near me and sit to look at the view with a flask of tea. Or I'll go for a brew with one of my friends and by the time I leave, I'll feel better. (Tea seems to be my common denominator.)

For me, I usually turn to exercise...even though I may absolutely not feel like it at the time, dragging myself to the gym or out on a run generally picks me up a bit. If nothing else it helps release a few endorphins and if done with a bit of intensity, blocks out any shit that is playing on my mind for a bit.

Exercise. Go for a walk.. Focus on something to look forward to.

Realise it will pass, and there is always someone worse off. If all else fails, spend a few pounds on meaningless crap on ebay.

Going for a walk doesn't work for me...it needs to be intense exercise. I find if I go for a walk then I just seem to dwell on it and it ruminates...I need activities which take my mind off the issue and not focus them on it..

I can see where your coming from, I have spent many an hour mooching down by the river.. And have sometimes felt like throwing myself in. It's opposite our house.

But if I walk my two crazy dogs down there and take a ball..well it's a whole different ball game.. So to speak.

Lock myself in the shed with a bottle of wine and several cigars and some menial jobs.

I find the hangover, cough and cut knuckles take my mind off whatever was pissing me off before

Failing that just spend an hour in the company of a child, children just have a fantastic outlook on life that rubs off on you
