Then suck it up and move on xx" This for me. I give myself a set amount of time to wallow, be that an hour, a day or a week. Then I shake myself off, put on a fake smile and pretend to be fine. Remind myself that infact, its not that bad at all and there are people far worse off. Usually I find them by opening my curtains (ie, you dont have to look far) | |||

For me, I usually turn to exercise...even though I may absolutely not feel like it at the time, dragging myself to the gym or out on a run generally picks me up a bit. If nothing else it helps release a few endorphins and if done with a bit of intensity, blocks out any shit that is playing on my mind for a bit. | |||

" Going for a walk doesn't work for me...it needs to be intense exercise. I find if I go for a walk then I just seem to dwell on it and it ruminates...I need activities which take my mind off the issue and not focus them on it.. | |||

I can see where your coming from, I have spent many an hour mooching down by the river.. And have sometimes felt like throwing myself in. It's opposite our house. But if I walk my two crazy dogs down there and take a ball..well it's a whole different ball game.. So to speak. | |||
