Well another mag is going free and handed out at train stations and such places.

Got to admit, I haven't read it since the 90s. Always preferred Melody Maker though, was gutted when it merged with NME.

It's got to be at least 10 years since I bought NME! It was pretty trash back then with a few gems hidden away.

I haven't bought it in years but have fond memories. I still have a few back issues in a drawer somewhere where friend's bands got a mention. And a few old compilation tapes and CDs knocking around (showing my age on the cassette thing )

NME was once jokingly called 'New Morrisey Express' due to having him on the cover constantly, and even voted the Smiths the greatest band of all time.
