Good Morning Fabbers.

Its another glorious day here in North Wales. The pooch was up bright and early , so that means I was too !

We had a chat over our wheetabix as what to do today?

The Pooch fancies a trip to Llandudno to browse around Mostyn Gallery , to have a peek at their latest avant guard exhibition. He does like to try and conceptualise what the inspired by and the story they are trying to tell. I like pretty colours lol.

We decided on a joint venture that we both would enjoy. So it’s off to the local garden centre to peruse and purchase some new roses to create a garden feature. For pooch it’s the older bread of rose which appeals, for me I quite like bold brash colours.

So chums are you ones who enjoy your garden and what feature would you say was your favourite within your herbaceous borders lol

I'm building a door for the dog kennel.

The dog never uses it and the tortoise had decided to ditch her own shed and move in, so we need to lock her in at night

The pooch and I would be jolly happy to pop along with our little trowels and pruning sheets. .

We had a massive chat in the garden centre I have chosen a standard lilac rose , the pooch a yellow celebration rose. Both are jolly fragrant.

Time.to get the spades out. Four gloves for the pooch lol

I suspect that she's been on a stealthy campaign of intimidation of the poor hound

She actually chases him around the garden ! No sooner than he tries to sit down in the sun than she's on to him like an exocet

I know nothing about gardening, but I love being in my garden at the moment, it's really pretty. Loving the clematis climbing up the pergola, and the peony bush.

Particularly enjoying my honeysuckle this year. It's rampant under my kitchen window and the scent is lovely. Rather pleased with my hostas too. Love them. Whack 'em in, occasionally split them and forget them the rest of the time.

Any colourful ground covering suggestions are welcome from the pooch.

Slugs or snails are fond of hostas do you have to take measures to stop them getting to your hostas.

Yeah I do dead head them I use to have A white rose that got smothered in flowers called Iceberg, I have one called peace to and fragrant cloud a Reddish rose amongst others.

Well as a gardener i have to say the magnolias, camellias and rhododendrons are by far my favourite. For me they are the start of spring where everything comes back to life

I've a rose bush that was supposed to be a climber - of which I never trained it to - but with dead heading, flowers from May yet is still hanging in there in December!

I have a beautiful red rose called Stromboli, it forms a hedge to protect my exposed borders.

Gorgeous red rose , the more you dead head the more they come .

I love my honeysuckle too , its fragrance on the evening is just wow .

I am.not much of a plantsman I am afraid , I have a nose on the bbc website or check out my fave garden book the late great Geoff Hamilton

Use of vertical growing spaces, allowing optimal use of space and organic growing as much as possible.

Just finished planting trees down one side & added a few ornaments so it's looking good.

Just trying to dig drainage & chip some if it today, backs killing me now.

. In the summer I love to just stand and admire the flowers before I leave for work..It gives me great pleasure when people walking past compliment me on the display . It makes all the hard work worth while

I've got a summerhouse at the end of my garden x

It has some honeysuckle and clematis climbing over it x

I have a Passion flower growing up the side of my decking x

And I'm very proud of my free lawn x

Be also got some tomatoes growing in a pot x

I like my garden it's fairly big and I like to create different levels so it's not just one long boring lawn.Do need new garden furniture N the decking bit needs doing so that's my mission in the next few days.

My garden is massive.Really need a gardener. Absolutely love it. Split into different sections with lots of established plants and flowers. Trying to encourage more wildlife into the garden so have a small area that is hidden and left wild. If anyone has tips please share.

Do you have a "wet patch" ?

a small pond or water feature is good at encouraging all sorts of wildlife into the garden.

I'd also sow some annual flowers too, traditional cornflower etc.

I too have a large garden . I leave one corner to go wild , nettles and wild flowers they encourge the butterflies
