Are they a bit like marmite?

You either love them or hate them?

I love going go shows. Last one I went to was wicked in Birmingham.

Would love to go more but it's fairly expensive (in my eyes anyway) and I've no one to go with.

I love them, I think you're right though, some do and some don't. We last saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in London. It was brilliant. I like the whole experience though of a day out in London.

"Shows" have such a massive variation, I don't see how they can be loved or hated as a whole. Bit of a silly question.

I don't like Miss Saigon, yawn my way through it, but LOVE other musicals.

Saw the Body Guard last and it was awesome!

There are no silly questions. I know lots of people who don't like theatre as a whole, plays, musicals, comedies etc.

I really really REALLY want to see the book of Mormon but it's in London so with the cost of tickets, hotels, travel, food etc it's a pricey event.

Oh, I'm jealous! I'm seeing the Dirty Dancing tribute show tomorrow night - basically a concert, essentially - but that's good enough for me

Back to the question I love going to the theatre especially musicals.

Anyone who has children and can come into london during August, Google kids week for a free child ticket (1 adult full price) for top west end shows. A lot are sold out but I believe Mamma Mia, Bend it Like Beckham and more are still available.

I love visiting the west end every time I'm in London. One visit I managed 4 shows and met Scott Bakula, he was doing a 5 week run in a small play

Saw this earlier this year, it's brilliant, probably the best play I have seen, go for seats in the balcony for the best _iew.

Can thoroughly recommend Gypsy at the Savoy theatre. Imelda Staunton is absolutely incredible. We've seen loads of shows but think this is my fave.

I've never done Mamma Mia, despite it being around for so long. Some shows, plays and opera are wonderful. Not ever planning to see anything from Lloyd Webber/Rice.
