I have had some messages from guys that say can't travel or can't accomidate? Whats that mean?

can't accomodate...probably cos they have a wifey at home. can't travel....maybe on dole so can't afford the fare.

I couldn't work it out either I think they expect you to pick them up go to a hotel that you pay for have there fun and then you run them home lol Oh well I would be better staying at home with the hubby with that it would be cheeper pmsl

I looked at a couple with the same thing the other day and was as puzzled as you. If you can't travel OR accommodate then your pretty stuffed unless your lucky enough to find a randy chauffeur or gipsy!!

To be fair, some people say can't travel meaning they can't travel a large distance. We have kids so we don't want to be too far away.

But yes, makes us giggle when we see it.

can't accom for any single or couple can be for lots of different reasons, kids at Home etc etc, can't travel means they probably have no transport.

There are lots of nice and genuine people in this position who need picking up and accomodating

or if its a young couple the could still be living at home and dont drive so then they wouldnt do both, i know for sure if we did have a car we wouldnt be getting to many trains or buses just for a shag and back home again

Think it is important to remember that some of the men who cant accomodate is not always because there is a wife at home. Think people naturally assume this is the case.

Yes there are those who do but please do not tar every man with the same brush and assume the worst as those assuming are giving the single men the bad name. Not all are married,some yes,but maybe give the benefit of the doubt until evidence proves wrong

My problem with accomodating is I still live with my mum which is a bit embarrassing to admit to on here!

Cant accommodate means so many things and I personally and sick of seeing guys being hit with the "you are married and cheating" label.

I know many guys who cant accommodate for many reasons, flat share, have kids stay over, look after relatives. I cant accommodate because I have both my parents live here as Im main carer

And the same for cant travel - not everyone has cars and cant be travelling miles. And like myself, I wont travel more them 30 mins drive just in case I have to get back in a hurry

I think if you want to know what it means in a persons profile - ask them

Can't accommodate and doesn't give a reason why, but the men that can't accommodate HAVE to explain to her why...hmmmm...really!!

Personally I DON'T meet men that can't accommodate. It's not because I think they're married, but usually they don't want to play in their home but have no qualms about playing in mine - yeah, right - not...going...to...happen!!

As for the not travelling: I assume it's people who only meet locally and in clubs.

The bottom line is, we set out our profiles how we want. If someone contacts me who can't travel or accommodate I won't even respond, as it set out quite clearly in my profile what I expect regarding accommodating for meets.

There are soooooooo many people that meet our play requirements, I struggle to understand why people bother themselves with those that don't, or how others conduct their own business!!

i cannot accomodate because i share a place and i had trouble on the door before when her husband turned up.

but i do travel and often hotels for all night fun.

maybe some people put cannot accom or travel as some sort of guard until they know the person well enough.

a safety thing maybe.

Interesting post. I can accomodate, and I can travel, but honestly I prefer to meet initially in a hotel, as its a sensible thing to do. If a meet goes well, and everyone really "clicks", and wants a continuing relationship, then I think that it can be appropriate to travel to and stay over at other people's homes

I think the OP was questioning the point of a profile where they cannot accommodate -- AND -- cannot travel.

Do they expect you to collect them and take them to their home or a hotel? Not an encouraging start for a meet to be honest!!

I take it as meaning they are looking for local meets only.

As for reasons for not travelling: Its harsh to assume somebody is on the dole because they wont travel. I dont own a car, not because I'm poor but because I'm trying to live without one on principal.

Oh, and yes, its difficult.

I've often casually wondered how (and where) a meet will take place when profiles (couples, singles whoever) state this.

It's never niggled enough to post it as a 'serious' thread but as a Lounge style, idle question kind of thread as I've taken this one to be it's interesting.

OP, I know enough of your part of the country to say that unless people are prepared/able to travel or to accommodate they are going to be pretty limited in their options.

when I started out swinging I was sharing a flat with a friend, so accommodating a single lady was no problem, he just used to assume I'd pulled (its been known to happen )

I didn't really feel comfortable bringing a couple back if he was around tho - as much for their sake as for mine - seeing a couple leave my room after the sounds of bedroom antics eminating from under my door might have been a difficult one to explain

You're right. Not ours to mess with. Just shows how society conditions people though and how different we are. That swinging can be so popular with a significant number (certainly not a majority) yet so taboo also.

There is a degree in interpretation involved with the term accomodate as some people read this as an overnight stay.

Perhaps it would better to use the terms "play at ours", "play at yours", "play other place". Use the term accomodate to mean an "can have you stay at our place for the night".

Similar definitions could be done for the travel side too that specifies a time or distance.

Cannot accommodate does not always mean that they are married men etc. It could be that some people dont want to swing in their own home. It may be that swinging is a fantasy life for them and they dont want any reminders of the children looking down at them from photographs or have their "real life" things surrounding them

But there are a lot of female profiles not disimular to Themagictouch's posting as well. When I hit the 'Terms & Conditions' bit on their sites I usually loose interest pretty quickly!!
