Hi all

Can anyone recommend a place for us to have a night out in August? Needs to be a city/busy town with lots of nightlife, and no great distance from Taunton as we are spending two nights there immediately after. And it will be midweek, so somewhere that doesn't close down outside and Friday and Saturday.

We were initially thinking Bournemouth, but we're hearing its all stag and hen do's.

Hadn't thought of Bristol. Could be a possibility. What's Gloucester or Cheltenham like? That sort of area is an option too

Cheltenham is good for a night out, some good restaurants and the pubs in Montpelier are a good starting point.

That could be an idea. We want to have a full on wild night out, before we go to Taunton and have 2 more relaxed nights (although, we'll probably be just as full on knowing us).

Is Montpellier an area in Cheltenham?

We've been to Bristol a few times. Was hoping to go somewhere different. Bristol is only down the road from us, so we can go there anytime really.

I agree. It's a good night out there

The place quoted are way too far from Taunton, why not Taunton itself, went there many moons ago, was great, its not that small! Frankly give Taunton a go, they're famous for cider.

Well we have two nights in Taunton on the Wednesday and Thursday. We have the Tuesday to play with, so thought we would try somewhere else within a couple of hours drive
