My best mate is in hospital having had a heart attack.

The advice I need is how do I get his spirits up as he is very down at the moment.

Ps I don't mean alcohol spirits lol

Just be there for him.. Sometimes people need a good mope and remember he will be in some pain still and worried about whats happening!

My dad has had 5 now and the best thing to do is not dwell on it but help them look to the future and make the lifestyle changes which they may possibly need

Stay positive. While it's young for a first heart attack, surely the very fact that he will now be on their radar will be a very positive fact, and I'm sure his chances of a full recovery are very high as a consequence

Best of luck

Be there as much as you can. Sometimes people really find out who their real friends are when they're poorly. Try and make him laugh (if he is in the mood) take him some of his favourite things. Listen to him and then listen some more.

Hope he gets better soon

Check if there is anything he would like you to take in for him such as phone chargers, tablets, puzzle books etc ...the kind of things he won't have had chance to pick up himself but will help his pass time when he is on his own

Clean clothes and socks are always nice as well if no one has already taken them for him

I am not sure if his wife has been up to see him or not as things are not good between them
