Often it's because they're mentioning the people who they actually want to meet but because they know each other through the forum instead of search there usually huge distances between hem so they never actually meet.

So keep mentioning the same people

Certainly does seem like there is a lot of paranoria today about cliques. These forumite post are meant as fun but don't encourage inclusion for those who don't happen to post everyday or on every thread so don't agree with them. It's just an exercise in ego stroking and please look at me at the most sinster level. A group of people who just get on with each other and like a laugh on another.
