... Or I may just be odd and it is me..

with all this talk of the hot weather and the heatwave... I am not a warm weather person at all...

so when it gets hot... I get indoors... and on goes the aircon!!!

maybe its all the new york summers in me.. 90 degrees with 90% humidity and it was really uncomforable.. and then 70 degree nights and you get no sleep

even on holibobs i'd rather be in the shade... let everyone else do the beach thing...

so anyone else the same... or are you all bronze/brown/lobster pink people....

I'm not a sunbather, but quite an outdoorsy type so the nicer weather means I can get out more, and does also mean I can take my 6 year old son camping!

Definitely not alone!.

I like weather, I like the fact that in the morning it can be nice and in the afternoon pouring down personally I feel very comfortable between 12-24 degrees which funnily enough is this country

One thing I don't like I'd night time temperatures above 17 ..it's just not right.

The other weekend I spent two days floating around the sea on my surfboard around the lizard peninsula coast, sea temp was 14, air temp 17, sun, wind and rain.

I was in hog heaven

With me been part ginger I am allergic to the sun, any sort of sun and heat and my skin falls off, I just can't bare any sort of heat,

When we go on our summer family holiday I spend most of the time either sat in the bar or in the reception on my Tod just to keep cool

I find it way too bright and way too hot this time of year.

I don't do sunbathing.

Its the lack of sleep, if its cold you can always chuck an extra blanket on, when its got your just laid awake sweating

I'm not one for hot weather, it makes me really irritable. I burn really easily and come out in a heat rash. It's such an attractive look!

I like spring best, not too hot and not to cold.

I used to work in the paper industry and the atmosphere was akin to a sauna, even in the winter. So summer heat just doesn't bother me at all. It would get so hot, any metal, earings, glasses, even buttons on the fly of your jeans could and would burn you. Being on proper scorchio summers, 90 degrees plus!!!

Same here, I'm either bright white or bright red!

I just can't see the enjoyment of lieing out and roasting under the sun. Heat for me is just so uncomfortable I would definitely rather be somewhere cool/cold than sweating my bollocks off!

I love the sun (naked sunbathing in back garden at moment typing)...but hate the winter..Hubby on other side he doesn't care.. happy with -30C (yes he's strange but then served military in bunkers in winter in the Alps) and happy with +40C (played a game of footy as a bet in Dubai when he was on business).. What do they say ? "mad dogs and English men"

Lived abroad for a large number of years - it's what you get used to.

Tourists would be baking at gas mark 6 topless and I'd be wearing combats, tshirt and a fleece!

Tshirts were for when it got above 26-28!

Quite happy right now as I don't overheat but conversely love Norway in jan/feb every year too.

Quite easy to be in tshirt/shell bottoms with it being -20 in the day but clear sky's and sunshine.

I never realised that the UK got so warm here. Never thought people got sunburnt!

Most people who don't live in hot countries don't understand what it's like living and working in high temperatures. It's a bit different then being on holiday.

When I went to America, we landed at Atlanta Georgia. As soon as we walked out of the terminal it was like walking straight into a sauna, was drenched before we found the nearest bar. Phoenix Arizona on the other hand was hotter, but much more comfortable due to the lack of humidity in the desert

I find this Intense sun here will quickly burn people say its a different Sun abroad, I tend to agree with them on That but suncream is order of the day I found factor 8 rubbish in this, but give Me the shade anyday, the lady next door Has dark hair loves the heat I always think its ancestry from the romans/meditterean area, thou I,ve seen the same in other pigmentations who love The heat, one time I worked in a greenhouse that had Shaded windows for growing cucumbers etc 110 centigrade in there, wearing Overalls on top..

I'm lucky that my skin likes the sun. I look better with a light tan and gives me a sparkling white arse when the rest of me has a bit of colour.

I hate being too hot on public transport and in bed at night though.

Autumn and spring are my favourite seasons - I burn in the sun, doesn't matter how much cream I put on!

I love the sun in the early evening in this country, relaxing after work with a beer, or ice water

Would love to be naked in a secluded garden but Will says it never gets hot enough here for him! And can you imagine where I'd burn???

The sun in theory should be as powerful here as in Spain but usually it's power is more effected by the atmosphere, the higher the pressure the more thin the atmosphere and the more uva and uvb gets through.

I think the tropic of cancer is actually as close as you can get to the sun on the solstice but I might be wrong

I like both. If I'm at work , love the aircon and happy it's on. When I'm home, I'll be out in the garden in it or on holiday I'll chill on the beach.

I also like being indoors though and thought yesterday how I love walking barefoot on the cold slate tiles in my kitchen when it's boiling outside. Contrast is what I enjoy.

I like the heat, the hotter the better! BUT only if I can strip down and not be stuck in work! Roll on 2 weeks time when schools shut for summer and I'll (hopefully!) have 7 weeks to spend sunning myself!

I only have to look at the sun and my olive skin goes a gorgeous dark brown!

Being a redhead I stay in the shade and if I'm out in the sun has to be SPF 50 in this country - when abroad a little less

A tip that I was given and use is to fill a hot water bottle up with freezing cold water and take that to bed when I can't sleep ,,,,, it works too

I'd have thought that after surviving the hot & humid NY summers, you'd find the British 'heatwaves' a breeze, Fabio, - & the British winter for the same reasons!!

I love the summer weather but like you, not when it's near the 40°c's & humid, - that's even worse than the -20°'s in a tent!

I slept under a running cold shower in India once, that was hell!

Spent 7 years in eastern Europe coldest was in Moscow where i lived for 6 months. At minus 26, unless you use Vaseline, your specs weld themselves to your skin .

I love the cold. It is 22c here and i am uncomfortable.

I love all weather xx however when sunny I bitch tongue in cheek to balance out all the miserable people who tirelessly tell me it's a "miserable day" for all weather conditions that are not bright cloudless days or warm

So euk today was miserable my eyes hurt my skin tingles I have more wrinkles from squinting everything is sticky sweaty, my men won't work hard ! awful day bring on the fantastic cool refreshing cloud covered knarly weather xxx

I just love being out and about. All weathers are good , the scenery changes with the seasons .

Its a tad hot for pooch at the moment so later evening walks to watch the sun melt into the sea. I always take lots of water with me for him.

I find the General heat of the day has vanished Inside, Its only later when the walls release their hold on any heat absorbed During day light hours that trying to sleep can be a big problem usually Exhausted before I drop off.. one of The Reasons I hate heatwaves or this type of Weather.

Nope, I'm not too keen on the heat either. Fine for a week by a pool on holiday, but when I have to wear proper clothes and go to work I find it really draining. I'm much more of a winter gal. When you're too cold you can always get warm with extra layers, but when you're too hot you're stuck with it!
