Ladies, what are your flowers of choice (if you do like them at all?). I am quite partial to lillies. They are just gorgeous flowers, and smell gorgeous.

As a pure Welshie, got to love daffodils, too!

Buddlheia (spelt that wrong probably). Think they look really nice and attract loads of insects.

Lavender is nice too, i planted loads of them but next doors cats kept peeing on them so only got one left now.

Roses and Lilly's but I love the first flowers of the year too snowdrops crocuses daffs and tulips blossom I could go on and on i also adore holly especially it its got berries

I love all flowers, but partial to whatever is in season as it smells so much better!

I grow lots of cutting flowers in my garden, particularly Cala lilies, so have a constant supply of those in both white and pale pink.

If someone were to buy me a bunch, just make sure they are fragrant.

I have 2 favourite gerberas. The bigger, and pinker, the better. And sunflowers too, so bright and cheerful, I love them. Also love roses too, so classic. My Mum always has a garden full of them and they smell amazing too.

sweet peas and every year i grow my own - they have failed so far this year for some reason and have planted 2 packs (only have about 6 seedlings struggling

) - but pick a bunch of an evening - when you go into the room they are in the following morning its scent is divine - also like the large traditional carnation - cream with the red picote edge

All types. Big blowsy lilies, little delicate Himalayan poppies, a cute bunch of wildflowers. I rarely buy them (I can't bring myself to spend the money on them I'd like to) or have them bought for me but they are lovely.

Yes I have a nice pink cabbage rose the Scent is exquisite as is a moss rose alongside and a deep red velvet Victorian hybrid tea a wonderful scent, Like marigolds to if you brush or lightly squeeze the foliage or flowers.

I thinks I'd struggle to pick a favourite flower although scented are the best so freesias, stocks etc. I do like Lily's too but just cannot have them in the house as my daughter suffers because of the pollen. One I don't like though is carnations.

I heard Somewhere not totally sure how true but I heard mention that pollen from lilys Was dangerous to cats, I heard this said When I bought Some madonna lilys once from town for Display in doors at home.

Yes, lily pollen is toxic to cats if ingested, it, brush past then lick pollen off of fur, best to remove the *?stamen,x

Earlier today was watching a bumble bee visi a plant. Disappear down a trumpet like flower, do it's thing, back out and fair clamber onto the next flower. Rinse and repeat 100 times.

Greedy little buzzer must have finished the lot as the next bee along wasn't at all interested.

Tomorrow it'll revert back to the majestic Delphinium.

Love most flowers, especially the sweet smelling ones above. I'd add lily of the valley and lilac too. Obvs roses too, your garden taff sounds lovely.

Yes the Delphinium now looks a picture If you know where to go and see them in Flower, the last nice plants I saw Were in the first week of july some 15 Years ago now at haddon hall in derbyshire in the peak district, the Hall and the grounds are beautiful..

My sweet peas are in flower now - fantastic fragrance. Honeysuckles and mock orange - Philadelphus, all flooding the warm air with strong scents.

A bunch of sweet peas is hard to beat for colour and their glorious scent.
