How weird.... I just looked up smoothie recipes for melon and I got melon, strawberry, spinach and pear.... Will leave out the vodka as I take it to work and take one for my pregnant work colleague lol but will use that recipe for my friends and I!!!! Thank you!

So, picking up on this thread ...

How much do smoothies cost you in fruit and veg ? Is it expensive ?

And please do post your favourite recipes

Nutri bullet is the best thing we have ever bought. Half fill it with a super food green (kale or spinach) and top up with fruit and seeds to taste. I use a spoonful of Tesco frozen summer berries, three or four cubes of frozen mango or pineapple and then add a few dates or prunes.

A bag of kale or spinach costs £1 and will last four or five portions. Kale has transformed my life and that is no exaggeration. It is not called a super food for nothing and when mixed with fruit and blended is actually really tasty. It is packed with fibre, vitamins and anti oxidants and it helps with IBS, prostate issues, bloating and indigestion/heartburn,

Top tip. Put in more greens than fruit. Fruit is full of natural sugars and too much will not give you anything like the benefit of a bullet packed with greens and just enough fruit to flavour and taste. Another tip is that if you find the blend does not really fill you, add a half measure of a flavoured protein/meal replacement shake and your breakfast shake will keep you full all morning.
