We shall be seeing it at the RIAT airshow next month.

Was that the 'accidental' flight?

Fantastic Aircraft. The V bombers were like something out of Dan dare! Such a shame but well done to the people who kept it flying.

UK's nuclear deterrent in late 50,60's. Also known as the Avro Vulcan bomber. Very British I think no-nonsense approach too the cold war role she played.

Saw the Vulcan at an air show some years ago.

It was late but well worth the wait to see it .

It flew in to the theme from Harry's Game just fantastic

Where were you stood? I was lying down on the berm behind the Hunter and after getting a facial of burnt AVTUR and dust from the Victor I thought

'She's been under power for a while'

And rolled to see passed the tail just in time to see it lift off, jump a concrete barrier and land crossed up on the grass. Someone filmed it on youtube and was less than 10 yards away from me.

I was stood not far from you!

I always try to get to Rolling Thunder events. Missed last months though, due to work, but I'll be at the next one and probably be visiting the static display before that.

One of my fondest memories is being blown onto my arse when I ignored a marshalls advice to get down when the Lightning lit his afterburners....

Live a stones throw from a static Vulcan in Coventry. I remember it flying in. Took my kids into the cockpit many years ago.

So sad to see such an elegant machine sat there rotting over the years.
