Teletext Holidays

Who remembers these? My daughter finds it funny that back in the day we booked holidays abroad via teletext. Obviously today it's all online but back then that was equivalent to booking online. I had some of my best holidays off there. Especially booking a last minute one and flying out a few day later. I had some right bargain holidays.

We used to do this all the time and had some superb bargains especially the allocation on arrival deals. Nothing like that any more though.

I remember my mum and dad booking us a holiday to Turkey off teletext back in 94.

does teletext still exist?

Had a fantastic 2 weeks in Majorca....room only for £75 including the flight in the mid 80's. Needed a holiday afterwards though.....
