Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

My parents just moved house, and have spent the last four months going through cupboards, drawers and the loft getting rid of tons of stuff they no longer want.

I got a train set! And a lava lamp!

Anyway, I went to see them the other day in the new place, and was presented with my teenage school reports

So one of the first boxes they opened must have been one they hadn't opened for at least 15 years.

I've furnished my kids and their friends flats five times over with my excess 'stuff'

It's true, it just keeps expanding..... except for shoes.....they are there to exist, that is all.

I too have their school reports, nursery art and some old clockwork trains and mamods. xxx

my parents sold their house and bought a winnebago to go travelling, i got boxes full of all my childhood keepsakes and a few marked 'do not open til we've gone'.....it's so frustrating not being able to see whats in those boxes, hopefully i won't get to open them for a good few years yet tho

The amount of times my parents have moved is over 25 times since i was little from poky houses to 7 bedroom house but now in four bed bungalow but every time the amount of stuff they give away is criminal !

Me on the other hand doesnt plan to move for a while so i have a minimal approach to what i have in my apartment i.e big screen tv and super king size bed
