I love cheese on toast ( who dos'nt) but admit to either having Red liecester or mature cheddar (Catedral city. please suggest some others as I want to branch out and try something new

That said it is tasty

Most hard cheeses are good toasted but you might try grating it and mixing with pickle (as above) or onion or whatever you like.

Isle of Man cheeses. Usually bought in tesco.

Various flavours etc to work through.

Oak smoked cheddar is a favourite.

Druidale with cranberries

use the searches thingy to find the flavours as they are award winning. Island food laws say have to be pure with no rubbish in them. Yummy

Gruyere is the king of toasting cheese - and a sprinkle of Parmesan gives ordinary cheese a real crunch on top. In fact add a handful of crushed peanuts and the crunch will blow your mind lol!

There are different variations in the name depending who makes it but the ones in black wax...... Black bomb, black bomber, black bob. Very strong cheddar.

Cheese is gorgeous - just really wish it wasn't so calorific! Love all of it! Soft cheeses, hard cheeses, Brie, blue cheeses, mild cheese, strong cheeses - all of em! Occasionally on toast - but also with good quality crackers, grapes, good breads, olives, and flavoured olive oils!! Mmmmmmmmm

Mexicana is quite nice - rather like red Leicester with little bits of chili.

Shropshire Blue is also nice - a bit little Stilton, only a little less Stiltonish (if you get my drift).

Ripened Brie De Mer (not regular brie) with an authentic French chewy baguette or sour dough, buttered. Doesn't get much better than that for a cheese taste sensation. Yum yum!!

Had this Saturday just gone, we topped with some mild, chopped red chillies, a drizzle of honey and fresh thyme then baked for 15 mins. Was to die for.

You can melt any hard cheese onto toast.

So just go along to your local cheese counter and ask for tasters, if you like the cheese buy some and try it!
