Was watching it on sky news yesterday and they talked about the walefare system will be hit the most and those on benefits and we will see 300,000 or so on the streets as it gets into place in july, don't you think they are doing it wrong and instead of cutting it to much to quick, they should do it on a 10 year plan or whats your thought on the budget?.

Er, the post-election budget doesn't take place until 8th July, so I don't know what it was Sky would have been talking about yesterday Shag.

Were they making forecasts / speculation of what might be in it?

They were probably talking "skyshite". It is the new international language of journalists.

We could not bother paying down our debts tho. The Greeks seem to be loving it!

80,000 kids alone ended up homeless under the last budgets. So yeah i can believe even more will happen with the next cuts.

All they're doing is undermining the social systems in place so that they can sell everything off or more people can privately profit.

Fucking bunch of dicks that they are. Actually i like dicks, not sure what they are but i don't think they should be a part of any civilised society.

Yeah but we'll get a nice shiny new £100billion submarine and missile system voted through no bother.

Central

It's definitely wrong on many fronts - it doesn't need to be targeted this way at the poorest amongst us and it could also be timed differently.

Tax receipts into the government are currently above their forecasts - so we're actually doing better than predicted.

We are also declining to get the increased taxes from corporations, who base buildings in other countries, and so don't pay tax in the country that they earn it. If we're so short of money, we should be doing all we can to claim our fair share of taxation.

As we're preventing that, then I think you can conclude that the changes are ideological and not of necessity.
