Always interesting when you get a phone number from a fabber and suddenly you see their Facebook page pop up.

My advice, if you have a Facebook profile, don't link your phone number to it if you want to keep your personal life private.

I have no issues with people from here adding me on Facebook as long as they realise that it's not for discussing anything Fab related.

that's why you're allowed to change its visibility in settings to friends only, for example, so strangers (non friends) can't see it

"Why have your number on Facebook?"

People use it as part of their log on details, or to get notifications to their phone.

If you have FB messenger and allow it access to your phones contact list, you will appear under 'people you may know' section on FB

There is one fabber on here that keeps coming up on FB. I have warned her and she has changed her settings but it still keeps happening.

I always wondered why that happened. Can it be linked in another way? I don't use the same number for here and Facebook but I still have people popping up

Point Nemo, Cumbria

The irony is that NSArsebook ask for your number to make your account more secure - yeah, that'll be right.

The less Arsebook know about anyone the better, especially in light of their all too cosy relationship with the NSA and Israeli Intel, added to recent revelations about how some of its algorithms worm their way into the private files on your computer.

Think I'm kidding?.. think again.

Facebook is dangerous you can set privacy options all you like but a site that sells your information to the highest bidder is not to be trusted.
