"Legally. But today I just went sliding across the motorway and it was the keeler and lather that meant I've got bruises and that's it If you come off with no protection even 30 miles an hour you're going to have life changing injuries. Any idiot who's says yeah sure get on the back dressed like that ain't someone you should be getting good on a bike with." Very true and im very ashamed of myself but hell it was fun

Grown up these days I'm not too fused risking myself but a passenger now is just too much to risk

"Rough rule of thumb is without protection in a 60mph slide you're gonna lose about an inch depth of tissue. And where that's joints that's gonna include the bone. If you can find a body part your happy to lose an inch depth off of go for it. " How can I fall off on my arse?? But in seriousness - ouch!!

"Realistically what's the risk going at a slow speed and falling off. I'm not gonna do this every day. I just wanna experience it a few times as a naughty treat... " well you fall of a mountain bike at 3 mph it hurts, you fall of a motorbike at 20 mph its like death, laying there has a nurse picks gravel/tarmac at your skin with a pair of tweezers, always wear suitable clothes

Come off a bike at 30 and unless you are very unlucky (you can drown in 3 inches of water or break your neck falling down stairs but we are not advised not to climb stairs or have a bath because it could kill you) you will walk away. OP. If you do come off you will be very sore for a week or two and find yourself picking bits of road out of your gravel rash (you get that on your thighs, bum, shoulders and arms normally) but that is not life changing! And to the poster I am answering: If you are such a piss poor rider that you cant stay upright on a motorway you need to find another form of transport!

And I didn't say she wouldn't walk away but she won't be showing her legs off again. I know enough guys who were idiots and have the kind of scars that ain't too bad on a guy but for a someone who likes wearing mini skirts they aren't what you want all down your legs.

"http://i.imgur.com/QIk9Usi.jpg that guy was doing 30 wearing a t shirt when he came off... " I have been down the road at 30 in jeans, T shirt and flipflops (I know not good footwear) nipping to shop came off on a wet roundabout (diesel) and my rash was nothing like as bad as that! Ripped big toe was the nastiest injury and I did not need hospital or have lasting scars. Are you sure that photo is the result of a 30mph off?

" Yep it's from a police campaign a while ago about the risks of slow speed crashes on mopeds. It all depends on the slide/roll you get. Today I came off at 60-70 and I have a graze that wouldn't look out of place from having tripped up on the pavement thanks to my gear. Another time I got hit by a woman when I was doing about 40 wear a cheap fashion leather jacket.... have a look at my chest in my pics to see how that turned out. I know a lad who had an off at 50 and he has keloid scaring 6 inches long 2 inches wide, about 5mm raised up and cock head purple in colour down his fore arm. Some times your lucky and you slide well other times your flesh digs in and away it goes. also let's face it no guy on earth is sticking to 30 with a half naked Lass on the back who's playing with him he's gonna show off.

"I wonder why cyclists are not made to wear better protection too ? ? I've reached 60mpn on my pushbike before, and dressed only in lycra too." I've had my fair share of road rash on a bicycle you can't exactly wear leathers on your legs though I've got a "lovely" scar on my hip caused by a jeans rivet gouging out a chunk of flesh

"It's a lovely fantasy and something I have wanted to do but we got knocked off the bike by a d*unken woman at a roundabout in Chester and it hurt. I was skidded 30m down the road on my side and himself got wedged under the bike and skidded nearly as far. If I hadn't been wearing all my kit I would have had no skin left on my side as the armour took all the force. I still had a knee that was swollen for a couple of months and bruises that lasted weeks on my leg and arm. My husband was knocked out and we both ended up overnight patients. If know if we had been in jeans & t shirts we would have been skinned so it will stay as a fantasy for me. When I see people now riding without their protection on I do think you will only do that until you come off and feel how much it hurts Stay safe - wear your kit - be sexy once you arrive......it's sooooooo horny peeling off bike pants and jacket and being naked or just wearing skimpies underneath " I think your response has been the best so far. Thanks for the safety advice! Now any advice on a good place for me to find sexy protective gear and helmets?

I am a fatty so I don't look sexy in mine until I peel them off but I do see lots of lovely and reasonably priced stuff on eBay - you can even get them made to measure if you are happy to pay a bit more......the thing with bikes is you are already sexy being a biker chick so even unzipping your jacket gets attention.....taking off your helmet and shaking your hair gets attention so bending over to pull your pants down is amazing - you will look hot hot HOT

"Don't give a toss what happens if you fall off wearing next to nothing but what makes you think people want to see flashes of your arse as they go about their business?? I really dislike people forcing their sexuality gratification on the unsuspecting public. I'll get called out for this opinion I know but hey ho" In agreement with you , if someone was to walk round flashing they would most probably be called all the names under the sun and possibly arrested. Don't see this as any different.

"Realistically what's the risk going at a slow speed and falling off. I'm not gonna do this every day. I just wanna experience it a few times as a naughty treat... " First two thing I was tought when I started riding bikes all those years ago was: 1. Any fool can ride a bike fast, it takes skill to ride slow. 2. Crouch down, ball your hands into a fist and put your knuckles on the tarmac. Then put you weight on you fists and move your fists across the tarmac. - The result is the equivalant of a 3 mph slide down the road. So slow speed more difficult to maintain control and will not preserve your skin if that control goes. Your skin, your choice.

"I've always wanted to be holding onto a man while he rides a bike knowing he's taking me somewhere secluded for naughty times. Aside from the obvious need to wear a helmet, can a girl wear a mini skirt, thong and high heeled boots while riding pilion? The thought of freedom and the wind blowing under my skirt and on my bare bumcheeks is irresistible. I imagine my skirt would blow up a fair few times and give those behind me a flash of bum in thong. Would this be allowed or are there any restrictions on what you can wear?" get the bike in the garage wearing your miniskirt, boots and thong and put a couple of fans blowing up your skirt so you get the feeling without the danger

"You ride in shorts it is a risk you take. You cross the road it is a risk you take. I was brought up to ride in shorts accepting the risk. In the UK we have had too much of a nanny state that has made us risk averse. Personally I would rather ride in shorts than look like a fat giggolo sqeaking across the car park in tight leathers. But that's my choice - even if the safety Nazis in this country froth at the mouth at the thought of it. OP you only live once. It's your decision how you live your life. Weigh up the risks and decide appropriately. I've seen girls in minis this week on the back of bikes in Spain and it does look sexy." Hence why I wear nice pair of John doe cargos they look no different to normal pants but held up to a 60 of mph slide
