After I use my LH magic wand, if I make contact with the metal prongs of the plug, I get a mild electric shock.

Is this indicative of a faulty plug via bad wiring?

No, it's just the interference capacitor storing charge. It takes time to dissipate. I guess whether or not it's a problem depends on whether or not you like the sensation

Nah, it often happens with electrical equipment because devices store an amount of electrical charge for a while after unplugging. Just takes a little time to dissipate
