What would you want someone to bring you?

I'd want a 10 inch tablet loaded with films and an Internet connection

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I was always grateful when my sister would bring me tasty food. She saved me from the dreaded iron injection with broccoli soup and apricots.

The only other thing would be the charger for the phone/tablet. I'm bound to have forgotten that if I've been rushed in.

Sheffield

Good quality squash, a proper sized mug (cos the hospital ones are teeny), some fruit tea bags, scented hand/body lotion face cream and lip balm cos it's so warm your skin dries out, some tubs of prepared fruit like melon and pineapple, ice lollies to go in the ward fridge for when it gets hot, cake to keep the nurses sweet.

If you're visiting a friend who's stuck in for a while the offer to stop by their fave take out and pic up something tasty will go down really well, as will taking some laundry home and getting it back to them - patients often need clean pjs daily.

A decent sized towel (hospital ones are tiny) and a good pillow also make a lengthy stay more bearable.

Hereabouts

Comfy, baggy pjs

My pillow

A pack of cigs

Blackcurrant squash

A book

Phone charger

Laptop

Headphones

Dressing gown

Depends what I'm in for really. If I'm sick then I won't need half that stuff because I'll be asleep. But if I broke both my legs or needed surgery or something then yeah

let me tell you from current experience that hospital wifi is really expensive....

all you need is a 6 inch phone... and an unlimited data package.... it works fine.....

oh.. and can i have jamie oliver come in a do something about hospital food....

Me too. I haven't needed it in the last seven years but it was essential before that.
