It's it a bad thing to ask someone for a face pic... I asked a couple if I could see a face pic of them before we go any further and they seemed a bit miffed.. They said we have never sent them before... I have face pics on my profile (all be it private) but I do send. I like to see who I'm going to meet.. What does everyone else think.?

If it was them then I see no issue with your request.

If it was you? And you've not sent them one? I'd say they were entitled to expect one first if you were suggesting meeting. If you were just chatting and no meet was on the cards it's down to personal choice.

Wouldn't meet anyone who doesn't send face pics ..its not blind date but everyone uses this site differently so just move on till you find someone whose willing to share their face pics.

Because they'll probably be abusive and say they didn't fancy you either even if they did, rejection can do funny things to some people's egos! If someone I had never seen said I wasn't for them then that's it, I respect that and say goodbye. What's the point in wasting time on someone who doesn't want to meet you?

Really, so im expected to send a face pic to every mail I get with a face picture attached, even if im ignoring and deleting the message.

I won't send a face pic to people who ask for a face pic with your first message to them, I also won't send them a message. I think a couple of messages into it, its fine for face pics to be swapped, but if someone sends me theirs, I dont expect to have to reciprocate

I ask for a face pic with first message but then mine is on show. Nothing worse I think than talking to someone and then realising there is so physical attraction. Shallow maybe but saves time in long run.

its happened to me once

Even if you have public photos, it's worth sending them via messaging, before asking for others to send to you. People forget what they've seen on profiles, or has already been sent - and inboxes soon fill-up, so they can't retrieve old messages.

It may just be that the people you spoke with Op weren't the right people for you, for whatever reasons.

Another option, rather than asking for pics, would be to ask when they might be exchanging them, prior to a meet? This isn't an instant demand for pics, but sets out your expectation of seeing photos of them, before you meet in the flesh, even for a social.
