I cheated with crumble (rhubarb, not apple) a couple of weeks ago because I couldn't be arsed to make thr crumble.

Instead I crumbled up a packet of hobnobs.

I don't like cooked apple on it's own, but homemade apple and blackberry crumble or black cherry pie warmed up with thick custard or a dollop of extra thick cream is heaven in a dish.
