I don't think I'll have changed all that much in 7 days ??!!
Perhaps age preference selections should be done in increments or 'blocks' of 5 years
i.e. 35-40, 40-45, 45-50 etc.
(I'm only gutted as they seemed like a superb couple!)  | |||

Clearly this person or couple is not as ideal as you seem to think, messaging them (if you could) would probably result in a turn down as you're not what they are looking for. | |||

My ideal age range is somewhere in the middle of my displayed preference. The outlying ages allow for the flexibility you're on about - maybe your couple prefer people 5 years younger than you but add in a few years to be flexible. That means you could be way older than their true preferred range! | |||

Even with your age ranges being in five year blocks you will find yourself outside the range one day after you were once in it. | |||
