We rarely have a traditional roast on a Sunday opting more for a 'midweek roast' mainly it would be chicken, love belly pork but I'm shit when it comes to the crackling!

Today it's baked potato, salad and pork chops

We usually have a big family roast, with all the trimmings, and if I get to pick, then its pork or beef.

Today, due to having lots to do, and the weather being of the "Scorchio" variety we just had a salad, made a lovely change to be honest.

You need to make sure you score the skin with a sharp knife and plenty of salt

Growing up we had a Sunday roast every single Sunday, regardless of weather. Now it's cooked on any day and rarely on a Sunday. Today though my daughter cooked one.
