I am happy being single, no texting all the time, not having to answer to anyone, i wonder though if this is right long term, i mean who is gonna wipe my arse when i am too old and fucked to do it myself.

I never have any intentions of ever being in a relationship again, I think for me its just how life is supposed to be

When I'm that old I can't wipe my own arse I don't give a shit who does it, in fact I doubt I will even be bothered if it dont get wiped at all

I've gone past the stage of wanting to answer to anyone else , except to say thank you when they pay for the dinner and vino

"Just don't think I'm wired to live with someone else"

Nor me

I've only ever had one relationship in my life

It was a case of tried it, didn't like it, fuck that for a game of marbles

I've spent more of my adult life single than with somebody I'm not even sure I'd know how to share my life with somebody now

I wouldn't even want to see someone on a serious level but not live together

Maybe as I'm Aspergers after a few days I simply need my own space so if I meet an aspie Katie Perry or Christina Aguilara I'll be fine

Just because you are part of a couple doesn't mean you have to text all the time .... we dont as we are either working, driving or together, so no point. Neither do we have to answer to each other, just do things in tandem which is nice too. This is me speaking after being celibate for seven years and single for a further five, and bringing up three kids on my own and having a career through this .... did not think I could ever bend or adapt, and always ran away from relationships, needing and fighting for my own space. But when I met Mr Law it was a totally different thing ... however, who says either of us will be able to wipe each other's arse in our golden years .... what if we re both incapable of doing it?

In the 30 years I was with my husband I can count the number of texts and phone calls I made to him that weren't work related on one finger. And that would be zero anyway. He rang me once for a chat when he was away for the Grand National. I had less phone traffic when I was not single.

I've heard it said "I want a relationship or I want children so they can look after me when old"

These for me are awful reasons

I have been so lucky , each of my ltr s have been wonderful and i truly hope I have at least one more . I feel my life is rather fantastic and quite honestly I want ,quite enjoy sharing it and the melding with another person and their quirks x that said I'm very happy in my own company and am rather particular about the person I want to share the precious time with xx

I've been separated for 14 wonderful years. Wouldn't change a thing. Way too selfish (set in my ways?) for a relationship.

Life is good.

I like being single. I like the freedom to do what I want when I want and not worry about what the OH may think.

I like the idea of being with someone but they have to be the real deal. I'm not the kind of person who'll just hook up with the first person they meet out of desperation then find out a few years down the line she wasn't 'the one'. If and when I finally meet my soulmate I'll be in it for the long haul. I'm like a swan...I mate for life. Anything else would be pointless bollocks in my book.

Separated for over 5 years now, and much preferring life as a singleton, could not even imagine being in a realtionship now never mind living with someone.

Been single since start of the year , not used to it yet but know I don't want a relationship for a while.

Very strange having free days to yourself etc but as for the future? Who knows? If a special lady came into my life again then I don't know what I would do... And that's being honest
