"does anyone use these as part of their diet (the fermented liquid, not eating the actual grains!!) Have you found a benefit to them? am considering introducing them to my diet by way of smoothies in the morning as i have heard they have good results for diabetics and it makes a change from porridge in the warmer months. Not come across this before. It does look like many contain sugar, or at least fermented sugar, so I would be somewhat careful if you are diabetic." as far as i understand it so far it uses the lactose in fruit to 'feed' if you like so breaks down the sugars. Am doing a lot of reading and will introduce it slowly to see what the effect is. Currently i am tablet and diet controlled so no insulin to worry about.

It is possible but it does not seem to be mainstream. Check your blood sugar level after you have taken it. And what works for one person may not work for another in any event. Good luck! Porridge is supposed to be good but I can't stand the stuff without the addition of cream and sugar. I would make a crap Highlander.
