What is YOUR take on women that mail prisoners that are serving life for murder ?

Well for all those women who like a 'bad boy' it must be the ultimate!

I can only think of two alternatives.

A) There must be something psychologically troubling them to need to seek out other damaged individuals and become friends with them. Possibly they just want to find a like-minded man to share their interests.

B) Is it an inherent need in *some* women to change/improve a man? A murderer would be the ultimate challenge.

Either way I'm not sure it's healthy.

You got any institutionalised pen pals Granny?

Maybe thay think thay can save them make them find god or somthing or maybe thay think thay cant get out and play around with other woman or maybe thay think wrighting letter is the safe way to date? If in for life killed people or thing must be strange knowing a persons done all that. How do thay get to find out about the men in there ???

No. Not at all. I asked as i'd just been reading a newspaper article about a well known prisoner who is contacted by a female who has this kind of 'obsession' ( media language )

I am guessing that the OP was on about the daft mare who's in contact with Ian Huntley?

She also mentioned on her facebook page that she wanted a "real" man, like Ted Bundy!!! Her last comment about Bundy (who killed more than 20 people) was "leave my body at the side of the road Ted".

IMHO, not that I am an expert in these things, I think these dangerously deranged women need to be sterilised before they pollute the gene pool with offspring who will be brought up (dragged up more like) by people who think that this sort of behaviour is acceptable. God only knows what sort of twisted mess those kids would end up as.

I wanted to see what people thought without them knowing at first that it was him.

This guy raped and murdered two children and yet this woman says he is lovely.

I don't pretend to not realise that stories like this will be sensationalised. Still .... I am so curious as to what makes these women tick. Him I can understand wanting company or someone to write to but her ?

They just crave the notoreity of writing to someone serving a life sentence, just so they can say, "Im close to ........ and he confides in me" as if this makes them a better person. I pity these sad women.

The Yorkshire Ripper gets sack loads of mail every day from women professing their undying love for him, but I bet if he were allowed out, they wouldnt have him in their house, doing a bit of DIY for them

There has got to be something seriously wrong with these women. There are sane, free men a plenty, why would you want to have anything to do with murderers?!!

As for the dozy mare who marries death row prisoners - twisted.

Nothing new though sadly, you have the girls who followed Charles Manson, as someone mentioned the packed courtroom of the daft bints at Ted Bundy's trial. A man accussed of so many henious crimes against other women and they were fawning all over him.

Its also a "safe" relationship.

They commit to someone they know will never be released. they cant handle men any other way.

I knew someone years ago who wrote to prisoners..she had never had a proper relationship with a guy and was still a virgin at 32.

She wasnt the prettiest gal and was very shy.

But she lived a fantasy life with the letters she had etc.

And she felt safe knowing they were away for a long time.

sad aint it.

What kind of warped sense of humour finds that even remotely funny. Bundy slaughtered, butchered and disposed of 30 women in his killing spree, for which he went to Old Sparky.

This woman needs a check up from the neck up as she's clearly revelling in her 15 minutes of infamy by saying Huntley is 'a lovely bloke' - he murdered two innocent young girls and then pretended to search for them. He's a sick fuck and so is she.

The Bundy "fans" will always fascinate me! Weirdos of the highest variety and some still worship him and act like he was some kind of a hero!! He probably actually killed more like 300, he wouldn't give the final number all he would say was that some states didn't even know they were involved and they should add another digit onto the 32 and they'd be closer to his actual count
