"I believe this is the last time you will be able to watch champions league on ITV or sky, as BT sport has exclusive coverage from next season. "

not quite..... although they have the exclusive rights... they have said that they will make some of the games involving british teams "free to air" and that the final as well will be "free to air"....

which means the easiest way to do that would be to "sub deal" with BBC/ITV or Channel 5.....

I was wondering how happy the big sponsors would be not having the big audiences watching the games that ITV had. Sounds like UEFA have kept them happy this way.

"Ball to.hand is not handball what a liad of bollock.shit header tho."

but it can be argued the hand deflected where the ball was going....

i can see why you would argue why the goal should have stood... but if i was a defended i would be argueing why it should be disallowed

Was never gonna be a classic, Italian sides always seem to snuff any attraction out of a game.

The expected result came to pass, 3-1 as well, but my bet went to shit when Rakitic scored first

Loved the game.

A nice mix of flair vs solid game play but expected a more stereotypical Italian approach from Juve tbh. Wouldn't have minded a nasty kickem and run, pinch and irritate type of a game to disrupt Messi n co. Nonetheless, congrats to Barca.

I was wondering how happy the big sponsors would be not having the big audiences watching the games that ITV had. Sounds like UEFA have kept them happy this way. "

just draging this back because BT sport have answered today how they are going to do this......

bt will make some matches available for everyone to watch, whether a subscriber or not, via a new free-to-air channel called BT Sport Showcase.

The digital TV channel will show a minimum of 12 Champions League matches and 14 Europa League games.

Gary Lineker and Jake Humphrey will present the programmes, with Rio Ferdinand also fronting live coverage.

so by my maths just for champions league games... that sounds like 1 from each round of champions league games (6) plus 1 from each round of games from the last 16 (4) and the quarter finals (2)..... they may hold on to the semi's.... and the final has to be shown free to air anyway!

and almost the same thing for the europa league..... 1 each week group games (6) last 32 (2) last 16 (2) quarters (2) semis (2) and final free to air.....

so basically its going to be the same coverage that was on itv and channel 5.... but on the one channel.....

the question is now.... will BT sport fill out other programming to go on the showcase channel around this....
