Anything without sulphates, parabens or silicone.

Usually means it's expensive though :-/

Avalon Organics. It cleans my mop nicely and doesn't have any nasty folicle damaging crap (such as sodium laurel sulphate) in it, and ain't tested on animals (well unless you include humans).

As for conditioner, hmm still trying to find a cuelty free one, that actually protects my 1 to 2 foot long mop.

Do they do banoffee? I honestly think if I could get that I'd do nothing but ruffle my hair to smell it all day

On a similar note favourite combination of smell was LYNX chocolate body spray and LYNX orange (can't remember what it was called) body wash so when I went out I smelled like a chocolate orange

I switch between using SP & Keratin Complex shampoo / conditioner / repair masks, followed by copious amounts of hair taming products.

I'm with you OP, except I use Mr Sheen on top, and MiracleGro on the sides.

I try telling the ladies that it is a sign of virility, but sadly, rather than Errol Brown, I tend to look more like the little guy in the Benny Hill show.

(Even then, they rarely chase me, even when I sing the tune)

Shampoo?

Soap - good old fashioned Shield all over.

So many unnecessary ingredients in shampoo that do nothing other than coat what is just already dead.

Simple soap and a good brush to distribute your natural sebum is all that's needed.

A good friend trained under Vidal Sasson and has his own salons. Neither he or his wife use anything in theirs.

Special offer Some sort of coconut oil and cocoa butter thing at the moment which smells lovely and seems to be doing its thing. My hair is quite tough and hardy anyway, so using expensive shampoo doesn't tend to make much of a difference.

Sorry no. Even with the best hair cut in the world some hair types would simply not take to this. Mine certainly wouldn't.

I used to work in a salon with a girl who only ever did blow drying using her fingers instead of brushes. Swore by it.

She tried to do mine this way and guess what?! It looked utterly shite.
