Lots of lovely nibbles , some.of my home made cakes , sausage rolls , scones , strawberry jam and cream. Raspberry Lemonade.

Home made butter biscuits

And lots of other treats , perfect for sharing

Some nice cheeses - Smoked Applewood, Brie and Wensleydale with cranberries, poppy seed crackers, rice cakes, fresh sundried tomato crusty loaf, hard boiled egg - sliced up, sliced fresh cooked chicken, dips, houmous, sliced avocado, black olives, chopped up peppers, cucumber, carrots, bean salad, strawberries - half fat crème fraiche,flask of tea, elderflower cordial with soda.

I'm sticking with the basket it's more reliable

Traditionally it'd be kid friendly stuff, sandwiches and scotch eggs and cooked chicken etc. The last time I did a picnic it was a last minute job and just for me and another adult so it was a crusty baguette, a wedge of blue cheese and a bottle of bubbles!
