You're not downloading from the right places in the right formats then.

Lossless copies are bit for bit copies of CD's and 48/96khz, 24 bit files are arguably better than CD, depending on the source material.

Downloads don't have to be shitty low bitrate torrents or iTunes purchases.

The only quality issue is the lack of physical product.
