I don't normally get them but had this one for 2 days and its killing me,

Could it be from 4 days/nights of heavy drinking while on holiday ?

Only taking ibuprofen and they don't seem to be working

Ibuprofen is an anti inflammatory. Try paracetamol.

Caffeine can help with headaches also so maybe a cup of tea or coffee.

Caffeine helps the body metabolize medication faster. It doesn't help with headaches at all.

If the headache is being caused by something that's inflamed it would have helped I guess. I hope paracetamol work for it.

If you've had a heavy few days it may be due to lack of potassium, this is one of the main causes of a hangover along with mild dehydration. Eat a couple of bananas, take a couple of paracetamol and drink plenty of water.
